Skopelos, Alonissos, and Skyros Welcome Hellenic Seaplanes

The first flights of Hellenic Seaplanes took place, approaching the ports of Skopelos, Alonissos, and Skyros. The program included familiarization routes, traveling from island to island.

Hellenic Seaplanes continues its flight preparation, heading toward the islands and their infrastructures that will host the seaplanes in the Aegean.

These flights offer a chance for the wider public, future passengers, and local authorities to experience the capabilities and advantages of seaplanes.

Starting from the Hellenic Seaplanes base at Megara Airport, the first leg of the journey was completed to the islands of the Sporades, specifically Skopelos, Alonissos, and Skyros.

On these first flights, the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Marios Themistocleous, a state television crew, and the President and CEO of Hellenic Seaplanes, Mr. Nicolas Charalambous, were present.

The flights focused on familiarizing the crews and operational staff of Hellenic Seaplanes with Greek skies and seas, carrying out a series of water landings and take-offs.

During the first flights, the CEO of Hellenic Seaplanes, Mr. Nicolas Charalambous, stated:
“The development of the seaplane industry comes through continuous and hard work that we have been putting in relentlessly for over a decade to ensure that everything is organized by Hellenic Seaplanes as we begin our commercial flights. Our goal is to create satisfied passengers who will choose seaplanes for their fast and safe air travel. Looking at the present, we are happy that the new Aegean destinations have experienced seaplanes firsthand, and we hope to begin our official flights soon.”

The time for amphibious transportation is approaching!
Seaplanes are returning to Greece… and everything indicates that time is running out for them to begin their journey.
