Significant developments are taking place in the progress of seaplanes in Greece, as procedures advance on both institutional and operational levels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, at the initiative of the Governor of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Mr. Christos Tsitouras, a broad working meeting was held with the participation of all relevant CAA departments. The meeting marked a milestone in coordinating the procedures to accelerate and rationally regulate the operational framework of seaplanes in our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, pending issues in the institutional and operational framework were discussed, and coordinated actions were decided to complete the licensing procedures and promptly put the seaplane network into full operation.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, Hellenic Seaplanes announces the licensing of two new destinations \u2014 Donousa in the Cyclades and Oinousses in the Northern Aegean<\/strong> \u2014 which are added to the expanding network of water airports, offering new mobility options to residents and visitors of these islands.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the meeting, the Governor of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Christos Tsitouras,<\/strong> stated:<\/span>
\n\u201cThe Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority actively supports the development effort for seaplanes, ensuring that all procedures are implemented with safety, transparency, and full compliance with international and European standards. Our goal is to contribute, in cooperation with all involved stakeholders, to Greece acquiring a modern and reliable water airport network that will strengthen island transportation and tourism development.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Chairman and CEO of Hellenic Seaplanes, Mr. Nicolas Charalambous<\/strong>, said:<\/span>
\n\u201cThe initiative of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority to coordinate the involved stakeholders constitutes a decisive step for the seaplane project to enter the stage of full operation. Hellenic Seaplanes, having led this effort for many years, continues to expand its operational plan, with the new licenses for Donousa and Oinousses representing another crucial step towards achieving our strategic goal: the creation of a safe, flexible, and high-quality water airport network serving insular Greece and enhancing the national tourism product.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

With these latest developments, the continuous efforts of all stakeholders, the complex administrative dialogue, and the persistent investment marathon are now taking tangible form, gradually leading to the start of a new chapter in the aviation and island transportation sector of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n
