The two emerging companies share a vision for the next day\u2026 planning to open new markets, create new tourist products, and increase their market share in Greece\u2019s incoming, outgoing, and domestic passenger traffic.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Hellenic Seaplanes<\/b>, which is opening the seaplane market, announces the initiation of a strategic cooperation with IFLY<\/b>, a company within the iGroup, which specializes in providing VIP air transport services, patient evacuations with helicopters and airplanes, and offers high-standard services for a wide range of aviation equipment. The goal of this strategic cooperation is to address common challenges and needs within the tourism and transportation sectors, maximizing options for passengers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The strategic agreement <\/b>will be carried out on three interconnected levels:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. The use of IFLY\u2019s facilities at the Megara airport<\/b> by Hellenic Seaplanes to support the operation of its seaplanes, as it will serve as the company\u2019s center for aircraft maintenance and inspections,<\/b> as well as for refueling.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Networking & development of collaborations <\/b>between the two companies, offering combined services to create integrated tourist products, always aiming to increase passenger traffic with their aircraft.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      • Strengthening competitiveness and developing joint strategic proposals to enhance and shape an environment\u2014both investment and business\u2014that will foster the growth of a new aviation era in Greece, based on combined transportation.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Following the signing of the memorandum of strategic cooperation, a tour of the Megara facilities was conducted, and further details were discussed regarding the procedures that will be followed for the proper maintenance of Hellenic Seaplanes\u2019 fleet, which will soon be transferred to Greece for the first flights, targeting this summer\u2019s season.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Attending the meeting were executives from Hellenic Seaplanes along with the President and CEO of the company, Mr. Nicolas Charalambous, while from IFLY, CEO Mr. George Verpis and Mr. Dimitris Kottas, Director of Strategic Planning and Investments, were present.<\/span><\/p>\n

        IFLY\u2019s CEO, Mr. George Verpis, <\/b>stated after the signing of the strategic cooperation:<\/span>
        \n\u201cOur company operates commercial flights daily to all destinations in Greece and neighboring countries. Our fleet consists of seven twin-engine helicopters and two private jets, and we have extensive facilities at Megara Airport, where we maintain the largest Maintenance Base for small aircraft, with high-tech specifications, in Southeast Europe. The strategic agreement we signed today will assist in the success of Hellenic Seaplanes\u2019 plans to implement its objective of carrying out seaplane flights in Greece. Together, we will create a growing framework that will serve passengers and transportation requirements at all conventional airports\/helipads, at all water airports, and water fields in the country with organized and charter flights. The result of this collaboration will be the strengthening of the tourism industry by shaping the tourist identity of many regions of Greece that do not have an air transport network.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

        The summer is expected to be particularly \u201chot\u201d for Hellenic Seaplanes and the implementation of its plan for seaplane flights in Greek skies starting from this year\u2019s summer season! The President and CEO of Hellenic Seaplanes, Mr. Nicolas Charalambous, <\/b>said:<\/span>
        \n\u201cToday, this strategic cooperation is not just an important milestone in the operation of seaplanes but also a crucial step for the maturation of the new seaplane market in our country. The strategic plan includes the collaboration and interconnection of the services offered by both companies to create a complete transport product in Greece. The range of activities covered by IFLY is closely linked to the services of Hellenic Seaplanes, which include passenger flights with seaplanes, the organization and execution of various types of air cargo, VIP passengers, air evacuations, tourist-sightseeing flights, as well as chartered and other unscheduled aviation activities with seaplanes. The collaboration between Hellenic Seaplanes and IFLY marks the best possible start for the flight operations of our seaplanes this summer. Our aircraft will perform reliable, high-quality, and above all, safe flights, as the critical areas of maintenance, refueling, and thorough inspection of aircraft are entrusted to a company with a successful track record, with high-standard infrastructures and facilities!\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

        The maintenance, repair, and inspection base that Hellenic Seaplanes will now use for its seaplanes is the largest in area and one of the most technologically advanced in Southeast Europe. The construction of the base was done with high and demanding specifications to ensure its full certification.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        The space covers a total area of 3,100 square meters and includes among other things workshops (aircraft electronics, machine shop, etc.), a crane bridge, a computer room, specialized storage areas, a technical library, offices, and a staff training room.<\/span><\/p>\n
