The technical dossiers of the water airports are now one step away from being submitted to the relevant department of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the issuance of the water airport establishment licenses.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The creation of an extensive network of water airports on the islands of the South Aegean, which will support the flight operations of seaplanes, is progressing rapidly, with coordinated actions and according to the set timeline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The companies in the consortium, which are responsible for the technical consultancy on licensing, have completed the <\/span><b>environmental impact studies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>noise studies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the water airports included in the contract. These water airports include: <\/span><b>Rhodes, Halki, Symi, Tilos, Karapathos, Kastelorizo, Agathonisi, Nisyros, Astypalaia, Kasos, Mykonos, Santorini, Kythnos, Kea, Andros, Sikinos, Serifos, Donoussa, Anafi, and Kos.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a statement regarding the South Aegean water airport network, the Chairman and CEO of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hellenic Seaplanes<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Mr. Nikolas Charalambous<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, said:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The technical dossiers are being completed with the necessary documents and studies and will soon be in a position to be submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. We are pleased, as we are talking about a network of water airports consisting of twenty islands, each with its own characteristics and parameters that need to be considered. Despite this, we are optimistic that all the dossiers will be completed simultaneously, and everything will proceed as we have planned and envisioned. The good and quality collaboration we have had from the beginning of the project with the South Aegean Region and Mr. Chatzimarkos has resulted in the water airports in the South Aegean progressing and evolving daily.
