Next in line are the water airports of Skopelos, Alonissos, Kalamata, and Kyllini!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The good news came immediately after the positive post-election rally in the Greek markets, announcing the completion of the land installation of the Skyros water airport, thus giving a new boost to Greece&#8217;s water airport network.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hellenic Seaplanes, which has undertaken the project for<\/span><b> the establishment and operation of the water airport<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Skyros Island through its subsidiary <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skyros Water Airport I.K.E.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, has completed the construction works concerning the land facilities of the water airport in the<\/span><b> Linaria harbor area of Skyros.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the completion of the passenger service station, floating docking piers for sea planes <\/span><b>(water installation)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be immediately installed to service up to two sea planes simultaneously, along with the necessary equipment for the water airport, including X-RAY machines, magnetic gates, safety boats, etc., for the commencement of operations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Statements from the key figures about the construction of the Skyros Water Airport and next steps&#8230;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The construction of the new infrastructure now breathes new life into the island&#8217;s transport connections, with Skyros now being a serious contender to be one of th<\/span><b>e first destinations in Greece to host sea planes!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the completion of the land installation of the Skyros water airport, <\/span><b>Mr. Dimitris Rigas, shareholder of Skyros Water Airport I.K.E.,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stated: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;As a young entrepreneur, I am confident that our country will achieve political and social stability. I therefore hope that Greece will see greater development in various sectors in the coming years, and that is why we have chosen to invest in our country. The effort for the network of water airports in Greece started many years ago, and today I am pleased to announce that the Skyros water airport is being completed, and we can make use of it immediately if there are other nearby water airports. In Skyros, sea plane refueling will also take place, where the first network connecting the Sporades islands with Volos will begin, which will significantly help Skyros in its tourism and social outreach.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The President of the Skyros Port Fund, Mr. Kyriakos Antonopoulos, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who was re-elected for the 7th consecutive year in the key position of President of the Skyros Port Fund, stated:<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cI have believed in the importance of this project for obtaining a water airport in our harbor from the very beginning. After so many years of joint efforts with Hellenic Seaplanes, Skyros now has a modern water airport that will serve the operation of sea planes and provide transport flexibility for our citizens and tourists. We will continue the works at the water airport, and we hope to see it in its final form soon! One thing is certain: the local water airport is a step forward and brings new energy to our island and its infrastructure, while it will strengthen tourism and provide the opportunity for the development of new commercial activities for the people of Skyros.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The Regional Governor of Central Greece, Mr. Fanis Spanos,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> after being informed about the completion of the Skyros water airport, said: \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinated actions by all the involved parties bring results, and the case of the water airports in Central Greece clearly confirms this. Central Greece has an important and unique role in the national water airport network, as we are at the center of the country, and the flight network that will be established from and to our region will connect all of Greece. Skyros has gained an extremely useful infrastructure for the island&#8217;s air connection with the rest of the Aegean Islands and the mainland. Sea plane flights can significantly facilitate access to Skyros, and combined with the creation of water airports in Evia, Phthiotis, and other Sporades islands, the foundations are being laid for the development of a sustainable network of sea plane flights in the broader area.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">With the construction of the Skyros water airport, our region is dynamically entering the growing sea plane transportation market and strengthening its existing prospects as a year-round destination.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The President and CEO of Hellenic Seaplanes, Mr. Nicolas Charalambous,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stated: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWater airports are projects of vitality that will provide economic relief but also drastically reduce travel time between islands and remote areas of Greece\u2026 They will bring people closer to the essence of Greece\u2019s islands and lakes.
