This initiative is part of the vision of <\/span><b>the Governor of the South Aegean Region, Mr. Georgios Chatzimarkos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to create an extensive seaplane network connecting all the islands of the Aegean, thereby boosting the local economy and tourism.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The Path to Completing the Network<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hellenic Seaplanes aims to offer an alternative and fast mode of transportation from island to island. In collaboration with the South Aegean Region, the company is proceeding with the licensing and creation of 54 new water fields, expanding the already existing network of 30 water airports currently under development.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Impact on the Local Economy and Tourism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The completion of the seaplane network will provide significant benefits to the local economy, creating new job opportunities and strengthening local businesses. The seaplanes will contribute to the creation of new tourist products and will enable aerial tours, offering a unique experience for visitors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Collaboration and Flight Implementation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hellenic Seaplanes has already begun the licensing and development process for the water fields. The technical dossiers for the approval of the water fields have been submitted for the following areas: Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Antiparos, Syros, Santorini, Ios, Kalymnos, Kea, Kimolos, Kythnos, Kos, Lipsi, Leros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Nisyros, Paros, Rhodes, Serifos, Sikinos, Symi, Tinos, and Halki.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The Start of Flights<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company has scheduled the commencement of seaplane flights in the fall of 2024, with the first flights being made to and from Patmos.
